SpeedDater is the UK Leader in events for single professionals.
About speed dating
Our speed dating evenings are great fun. For best results we recommend you come along with an open mind and don't take it too seriously. You'll have a great time, you'll meet lots of single people and you might meet someone special.
What happens at SpeedDater singles events
When you arrive you will see a SpeedDater Host in a T-shirt who will register you in to the event and give you a scorecard, a name badge and a pen, then invite you to have a drink at the bar. Once everyone has arrived the SpeedDater host will explain how speed dating works and answer any questions.
Then the dating begins. Usually women will stay seated while men will rotate every three minutes when the bell rings. After each date participants mark on a scorecard whether they would like to see that person again. At the end of the evening many people stay around to chat to the people they've just met.
After the singles event
At the end of the evening everyone takes their scorecards home with them. The following day (or whenever you get chance), guests will enter their ticks online on our website. Simply log in with your username and password and click the 'my matches' tab. Once you have entered you ticks you will see if you match with anyone. Remember it's FREE to send/read messages to/from all the guests you have met at the event through our secure website. All our events are guaranteed! If you don't meet at least one person you'd like to see again your next event is free.
Feedback from SpeedDater singles parties and speed dating events
"Went to a Speed dater event last week, had a surprisingly good time! Very busy, decent guys, fab central London venue. Host was lovely, she explained the whole process to me as soon as i arrived which made me feel really at ease. Couldn’t pick a fault with it, well done."
Imo - London.
"Really good idea and is a lot more fun than I thought it would be. If nothing else a total confidence boost – ladies go with your mates for girls night out."
Aberdeen, Lucy.
"I went to an event in Brighton at Koba. The venue is really cool, and it was good the speeddating was in a separate room at the back. There were 15 women and 13 guys so I had to sit out 2 dates but I didnt mind - it was nice to have an extra break! There was an interesting mix of people, I ticked a few guys and got 2 matches - so not bad for £20. The host was really good and put everyone at ease - Id definitely recommend speeddater to people in Brighton looking to meet someone."
Charlotte, Bn1 (Brighton)
"Had to sit out for 3 dates but I wasn’t too bothered, the host chatted to us while we waited. The event overall was good. Recently tried online dating too but I think the events are better." Benno, Guildford.
