About this event

We've all seen the show, now SpeedDater has created our own special event inspired by the Living TV show 'Dating In The Dark'. We're running a speed dating event with a twist - you guessed it, in the dark! This fun and totally unique event will aim to explore the fascination of beauty Vs personality. How much of a part does physical attraction and chemistry play in dating? Let's find out!

What happens at the event
Men and women will be arriving to register in different time slots at this event. It is very important you arrive on time so we can keep the genders separated! Ladies register from 6:45-7:05pm and will be seated in the Stanza Bar.Gents will need to arrive between 7:10-7:30pm and will relax in the back bar 'Teatro' till we are ready to start. Our SpeedDater Hosts will register you and give you a scorecard, a name badge and a pen, then invite you to have a drink at the bar. Once everyone has arrived the SpeedDater host will explain how speed dating works and answer any questions.

Then the dating begins. Everyone is blindfolded, and gents will be led into the Stanza Bar to join the ladies. Every three minutes we will ring the bell and you will raise your hand if you like the person you've just dated. This is essentially your 'yes' tick. Hosts will note down this on your scorecard, and gents will be guided to theire next table. At the end of the dating we will do a dramatic 'reveal' where you will see who you've been dating. Guests are encouraged to stay on and mingle with those they've just met, and see if any ticks need to be changed!

After the event
At the end of the evening everyone takes their scorecards home with them to enter their ticks online on our website. And after the event you can contact anyone you meet through our secure website. All our events are guaranteed! If you don't meet at least one person you'd like to see again your next event is free.
