Can I bring a friend?
You are very welcome to come speed dating with friends and many people do. You can bring friends who do not wish to take part to the start of the evening but it is not normally possible for them to stay after the dating starts. If in doubt please phone us to check.
How can I book an additional ticket for a friend?
First of all you should know that your friend has to have an account on our site. Choose the type of event, after booking the ticket for yourself click on the 'book additional tickets' button. Write your friend’s first and last name, city/postcode, the date of birth and address in. Alternatively call us on 0845 838 5600 (local call rate £1 telephone booking fee) and book a ticket for your friend.
How can I pay for a ticket to an event? What are the booking line opening hours?
We now take telephone bookings 9am-10pm Mon-Fri, and 9:30am-1pm on Saturdays and Sundays. For general enquiries please call during office hours (9am-5:30pm Monday to Friday) on 0845 838 5600. Local call charge. A £1 telephone booking fee will apply to bookings made over the phone.

How do I book a ticket to an event?
At the top panel go to the events page. Choose the type of event, a city and an age group on our event page or at the left panel and click the 'go' button. The next page will display event results, to view more information on an event click on the 'Info' link for the event you are interested in. Once you are ready to book, click on the 'Book' button. Alternatively call us on 0845 838 5600 (local call rate. £1 telephone booking fee).
How do I find out the location of SpeedDater events?
Just go to the our event page and choose your city from the dropdown list and select the appropriate age group for the event you want to attend and click 'go'. You'll then see a list of all events in your city sorted by date. To view more information about the location click on the 'Info' link for the event you are interested in and there you can read the venue tab and the travel page tab.
How do matches/ticks and emails work?
After attending a speed dating event you are able to tick other members and to see who ticked you. Just click on My Matches under your member's homepage. You will now be taken to a screen which will have your event listed on it. Click on 'Check matches' and add more ticks for the event. You can also check how many ticks you received at the event. Click the 'click here to check your yes ticks' link and you'll see a list of people who ticked you.
After you have attended an event you can send a message to anyone who attended. After you have entered your tick, click the 'Click here to view all attendees' link. Choose the person you want to send a message to and click 'send e-mail'.
I can't make an event. Can I send a friend instead?
Yes, you can send a friend of the same sex in your place for no additional charge. Please call us to on 0845 838 5600 so that we can register your friend. If your friend is the opposite sex we may still be able to help you. Please call us to check.
I ticked someone for dating but only have a friendship match with them. Why?
You only receive a 'dating' match if both people select dating. If one person chooses dating and the other chooses friendship it comes up as a 'friendship' match. If both people choose friendship it is also a friendship match.

What is the SpeedDater guarantee?
SpeedDater Guarantee
SpeedDater guarantees that you will meet someone you would like to see again at each PAID SpeedDater event. If you do not meet someone you would like to see again you can come to another SpeedDater event free of charge.
The guarantee only offers free tickets to events you have not already booked for. We will not refund tickets already booked for future events under the guarantee. If you tick anyone you have met at a SpeedDater event you have indicated that you would like to see someone again and therefore do not qualify for a free ticket to a future event. If you are using the guarantee on a ticket that you bought for a discounted price, you must pay the balance when claiming the guarantee. The guarantee is also limited to one free ticket per paid for ticket. The guarantee may not be rolled over. If you claim your guarantee and then do not tick anyone again at your free event, you may not claim another guarantee.
To qualify for a free ticket under the guarantee you must take part in the whole event. If you leave early or choose not to take part you do not qualify.
The SpeedDater guarantee does not apply to special bigger ticket events such as days and evenings out (punting, walks, wine tasting, bowling etc) or to SpeedDater Lock and Key Parties or SpeedDater Balls. Guarantees may not be used to book these special events. The SpeedDater guarantee remains valid for three months from the date of the original event. For Elite and Super Elite events, the value of the guarantee is limited to a ticket to a normal speed dating event (i.e. not exceeding £23.95). If purchasing a ticket to an Elite or Super elite event with a guarantee, you must pay the difference in price. The guarantee also does not apply to complimentary tickets.
