Speed dating success stories and feedback

I've been along to a couple of your speed dater events - very entertaining and enjoyable + I'm impressed by how slick the organisation has been.

Well John and I meet in August 2005 at a speed date in the fly bar. Boy meets girl /girl likes boy and boy asks for date. The rest is definitely not history. Cos 10 months later we were living together. Then baby Conor arrived 9 months after that and we got around to getting married May 08. So here it is if you are looking for love give Speed dating a go cos you just don't know who will show up and 3 minutes can become a life time!

I met Russ through Speeddating on the 6th January this year in Cambridge. I was recently separated with two small children and wanted to meet someone else. Speeddater gave me the ideal opportunity and at the time I only did it for a laugh, which it was and I thoroughly enjoyed myself!

To cut a long story short Russ and I got a match, talked on the phone, met up and there was an instant spark! It turned out that Russ was in the same situation as me, also separated with two young children so we were even compatible in that sense. Weekends are fun with four children under 9!

We've been together ever since and are very in love and very happy. We hope to move in together very soon. Both of us feel we have met our soul mates and can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together.

After 3 months of being single and not knowing how to meet people I got brave and went speed dating last October in Guildford, egged on by a collegue who bailed out at the last moment and left me to go on my own - scary! I am a 30 year old female who isn't the most confident person in the world.
I had a great night - was physically shaking when I got there - everyone was really friendly from the start and the night was a wicked laugh. Got a few matches and a much needed ego boost. :-)
One of the chaps I met became an email friend who kept telling me about this modern jive thing he did - sad I thought! Finally out of curiosity I went along and it's great! I dance at least twice a week and get to have all the fun of meeting people - men! - while having a laugh.
The chap I met speed dating has become a good friend over the last three months and we jive together. Ah! - it wasnt what I expected from speed dating but it wouldn't have happened without it.
Moral of the story, for me anyway? Speed dating allows you to do more than just find a date. People there are from all walks of life and you can meet them and get to know them and who knows where it may lead. Would I do it again - oh yes - just waiting for a break in the jiving!
