Do I need to join SpeedDater?

Yes, but it's free to join. You only pay for events you attend. Please note that from time to time we provide exlusive offers for online membership when booking SpeedDater Events.

How can I pay for a ticket to an event? What are the booking line opening hours?

For bookings and general enquiries the call centre is available 24/7 on 0131 608 0066. A £1 telephone booking fee will apply to bookings made over the phone. All requests and escalated complaints are dealt with by management, please call during office hours (9.30am-6pm Monday to Friday).

Please note we no longer accept payment by cheque or postal order.

If you have problems with your debit/credit card, please call us on 0131 608 0066 to discuss if an alternative payment option is available. Cash payments can be made at our singles parties on the door (depending on availability of course), however this will be at full price and any early bird discounts will not be applied.

I know my username and password but I'm still having problems logging into the website to enter my ticks?

Make sure you have your cookies enabled on your computer. To do this go to Tools, Internet Options from your browser and select the Privacy tab. Next click on the Advanced button under privacy and tick the boxes to Accept first and third party cookies and to Always allow session cookies. Then click OK.

If you still have trouble logging on after that go to Tools, Internet Options and select the General Tab. Click settings and set your browser to 'Check for new pages every visit'. Now click the buttons to delete existing cookies and to delete files.

If that still doesn't work go to the Connections tab, click Lan Settings and make sure the proxy server box is unchecked.

I've given you my work email address. Can I change it?

Yes. Just log into the site using your email address and password. Then click on the 'My Account' link (icon top right) and then click 'Account settings'. You can change your email in the 'General settings' section.

What if I don't want to pay by credit card?

Why do I need to book in advance?

We need to ensure a balance of men and women. We also need to ensure that enough people will be attending each event.

You don't seem to have updated your website. I can only see old events?

We update the website every day. You need to refresh your browser by clicking the refresh icon or pressing Ctrl R then Ctrl F5.
It's also worth checking whether or not you're using a Proxy server. To do this go to Tools / Internet Options / Connections and click the Lan Settings button and make sure the Proxy server box is unchecked.
