Recently, a couple we matched went on a virtual date that was featured on the BBC programme, The One Show. We have already had three daring couples who volunteered themselves for a virtual date on the show and we have two more to come! We wanted to show the country that virtual dating is a great way to continue to date through these difficult times. You are still able to get to know potential love interests by just sitting in your home and perhaps showing off what you love to do, having a drink with one another or finding new and exciting ways to interact through a screen.  

It was a huge success and one of the couples rated their virtual dating experience: 8/10 as it didn’t seem different to sitting in a bar with the person, with their only disadvantage being technical issues. Another couple also said that virtual dating made it seem like it was more controlled and that it provides all the couples with a safe and easy way to shut the conversation down if it’s not going well. Our couples featured in this virtual dating agreed that it is definitely possible to find chemistry and a spark just from talking through a webcam.
